In 1983, Ward Landrigan, head of the American jewellery department of Sotheby’s, purchased the company, including its archive of 10,000 original sketches and began transmitting Verdura’s drawings to a new generation of collectors. His son Nico joined the company in 2004 and currently covers the role of President with Ward, CEO of Verdura. In 2014, the company celebrated its first 75 years with a 3-month retrospective exhibition which attracted more than 8000 visitors. Today, the Verdura jewellery company is available at the company’s high-end gallery on 745 Fifth Avenue of New York, overlooking Central Park.
