Aspectacular collection of twelve jewels by JAR (Joel Arthur Rosenthal), “Twelve Jewels by JAR”, belonging to the American collector Ann Getty, is one of the most important lots of Christie’s upcoming auction entitled “Magnificent Jewels” on 8 June in New York. Ann Getty shared the artistic orientation of Rosenthal for many years, of whom she was both patron and collector. The collection reflects her intellectual curiosity and her career as cultured and creative designer. JAR’s works (b.1943), evocative of the 18th and 19th

At the side: “Fleur de Lys” brooch, in the shape of stylised lily, with pavé of shiny amethysts, pink tourmalines, garnets, framed by round diamonds, mounted in 18 Kt yellow gold and silver, 1987.
