Dal 12 al 14 maggio 2023 si terrà a Tashkent la UZBEK JEWELLERY FAIR, la prima mostra-mercato internazionale di gioielli di lusso, attrezzature moderne e tecnologie, dell'industria orafa dell'Uzbekistan. É da sottolineare la forte tendenza positiva del settore in Uzbekistan: secondo il World Gold Council, nel 2020 le esportazioni di oro dell'Uzbekistan, il principale fornitore di oro al mondo, ammontavano a 5,8 miliardi di dollari, pari al 40% delle esportazioni totali, cosí come anche nel 2021. Da gennaio ad agosto del 2022 l'Uzbekistan ha aumentato le sue riserve auree di 19 tonnellate, classificandosi al quinto posto nel mondo in termini di riserve auree, appena dopo l'India, l'Iraq, l'Egitto e la Turchia. Attualmente le riserve auree dell'Uzbekistan ammontano a più di 381 tonnellate (59% delle riserve totali).
From 12 to 14 May 2023, the UZBEK JEWELLERY FAIR, the first international trade fair of luxury jewels, modern equipment and technologies of the jewellery industry of Uzbekistan, will be held in Tashkent. The sector is experiencing a strong positive trend in Uzbekistan: according to the World Gold Council, in 2020 gold exports of Uzbekistan, the key gold supplier in the world, amounted to 5.8 billion dollars, equal to 40% of total exports, as well as in 2021. From January to August 2022, Uzbekistan increased its gold reserves by 19 tonnes, classifying itself fifth in the world in terms of gold reserves, just behind India, Iraq, Egypt and Turkey. The current gold reserves of Uzbekistan amount to more than 381 tonnes (59% of total reserves).
