Promoter of cultural life, the Museum is situated in a neo- renaissance residence which harmoniously hosts two souls, renaissance and 19th century, fruit of a refined work of high craftsmanship for the creation of furniture, ornamental objects and decorative architectural parts. Scavia Gioielli is now firmly in the hands of the fourth generation with Domenico’s daughter Sara with Fulvio and Alessandro, who bring a new perspective and a look towards an innovative future to the sector of high jewellery. In close synergy with the permanent collection of the Museum, the rooms exhibited the historic jewels of the Maison alongside the most recent creations, fruit of the creative talent of Fulvio and Alessandro Scavia, often recipients of prestigious international awards. The best-known jewels include the magnificent “Sandra Dia” earrings, designed in 1988 for Elizabeth Taylor and become iconic thanks to their unusual and intriguing shape; a magnificent necklace in blond,
black horn and gold, among the most classic cuts; the ring “Due Coni” embellished with 2 diamonds, thanks to which Fulvio Maria Scavia won his first Diamond International Award in 1976. The jewels on show are placed alongside archive photos, which bear witness to more than 100 years of activity: the work of goldsmithing in the workshop, historical photos of the first shop in corso XXII Marzo, but also photos of the family, haute couture fashion shows, social events and meetings with famous international figures.
