Silent but eloquent witnesses of the extraordinary life of Gina Lollobrigida, icon of Italian cinema, were auctioned
on 28 May last by Wannenes Art Auction in the Genoese headquarters of Villa Carrega Cataldi, numerous heirlooms including art works, photographs, personal items, certificates and awards, belonging to the unforgettable actress, known as “Lollo ”, by the Italians. Coming from the villa on the Appia Antica in Rome, her home for the last years of her life, each of the exceptional heirlooms tells a story, a moment of her career, a meeting she had during her extraordinary life. The auction recorded “sold out”, totalising an overall income of 1,144,520 euro, including auction fees, with an average of 2,700 euro per lot.
