assign the prizes to 26 works judged worthy, the prizes presented were divided into three categories: the Competition Grand Prix “Gdansk Mayor Prize”, the Silver Prize “1 kg of silver”, financed by the International Fair of Gdansk and the Amber Prize “0.5 kg of amber” financed by the International Amber Association. To assign the prizes, the jury considered the interpretation of the theme proposed and the level achieved in the use of amber, two factors which motivated the exceptionally unanimous decision, to present the Grand Prix
to Tadeusz Jaskowiak for the pendant “Inclusion”, with central element of a silver gun trigger. The Silver Prize was won by the German artist Miriam Arentz, whose brooch “Radiance” recalls a puzzle composed of silver and amber elements. The Amber Prize went to Teresa Dantas of Portugal, for the beauty and the rich narrative of the work “Empyrian of Eden”, which is both object and jewel, with the detachable part which functions as a pendant. An Honourable mention was also presented to the Swede Tor Legernaes for the ring “Eternal Flame of Hope”, to show the enormous potential of the
